Unbeaten Wakiso Giants maintained their Elgon group lead in the StarTimes Fufa Big league following their barren stalemate at home against Doves All Stars at Bugembe stadium on Thursday in the battle for top spot clash. The Ibrahim Kirya side remained the only unbeaten side in the group after 10 games, leading with 20 points after 10 games, one above second placed Doves All Stars. Kyetume FC maintained their 3rd spot with 18 points as the first round curtains came. Meanwhile Proline also remained on course of returning to Premier league with a 3-1 home win at Kabale Sharp. Ivan Bogere, James Begesa (P) and Bright Anukani scored for the Shafik Bisaso side to end the first round on the high. With one loss, Proline lead Rwenzori group with 23 points after 10 games as Kiboga Young who held Kira United 1-1 on road follow with 21 points but trailing by five goals. Kansai Plascon lost 1-0 away to Dove FC but remained third behind Proline and Kiboga Young with 18 points.
