Otoho d’Oyo 3-0 KCCA FC

KCCA FC will have an uphill task to overturn a 3-0 first leg defeat when they host Otoho d’Oyo FC in the return leg of the CAF Confederations Cup play-off stage tie.

The Uganda Cup reigning champions were humbled 3-0 on Saturday in the first leg at the Stade Omnisport Marien Ngouabi –Owando in Congo Brazzaville.

The Mike Mutebi side conceded twice in the opening half through open play and penalty respectively before the hosts took command of the two-legged affair with the third after the break.

The result means that KCCA which played in the CAF Champions league Group stage last season will need a 4-0 score to progress to the Group stage of this season’s competition.

Prior to the Saturday kick-off, KCCA manager Mike Mutebi vowed to unleash an offensive side and was optimistic they would get a decent result from Brazzaville. The two teams meet for the return leg in two-week time at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo where KCCA are yet to lose at the continent under Mike Mutebi.
