Having worked since 1950, Uganda Clays Limited has rewarded the Kajjansi community by committing financial help to local football club Kajjansi United that plays in the Buganda regional league. The building material manufacturing company on Monday extended a branded new kit to Kajjansi United FC management before pledging more support. George Inholo, the company’s managing director termed the partnership as work in progress. “This is the stat of the many things to come since some of the players are our workers,” he said. Club Chairperson Norbert Kazibwe, flanked by CEO Abdul Semugenyi and other club officials lauded Uganda Clays. “We exhibited a clear plan and well defined strategy and this partnership comes handy,” he noted.  Four of the club players; Hamza Ssempijja (GK), Arthur Ssemazi, Joseph Shisa and Michael Male exhibited the new kit before the press. Uganda clays join other club partners Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) that offered Shs4.5m to procure playing boots. The event was also graced by the Mayor of Kajjansi Town Council, Patrick Nelson Byekwaso. Kampala Executive Aviation (KEA) General Manager Corlis Zylstra together with the sales manager Dorothy Kagaba Byenkya pledged to purchase more boots to the team next season after a visit by the club to the company.

Kajjansi head coach Denis Kizito will rely on club lead scorer Joseph Shisha (8 goals) as they take on Nanagabo Green Valley on Wednesday.
