- SC Villa struggles this season continued on Wednesday with ejection from the 2018/19 Stanbic Uganda Cup. The 9-time winners were dumped out by Buganda regional league side Nkambi Coffee FC at the round of 32 after a 2-0 loss at the Masaka recreational grounds. The hosts took the lead just three minutes after hour mark before extending the lead with just nine minutes to play. SC Villa are having a torrid campaign sitting just one place above relegation zone with 14 points, just five ahead of the red zone in the Uganda Premier League. SC Villa were ejected at the round of 64 by Kiboga Young in 2016 and now wait for next season to have hands on the title they last won in the 2014/15 season. Meanwhile Mbarara City were the other side to bow out of the competition after failing to fellow premier league side BUL 4-3 on penalties after a one-all normal time draw. Police FC also advanced to the round of 16 after a 3-4 away win at Calvary in Yumbe following a barren normal time stalemate.
