CAF Confederations Cup
KCCA FC vs AS Otoho d’Oyo, Lugogo
KCCA FC have a hefty of overturning a 3-0 first leg defeat to progress to the group stage of the CAF Confederations Cup when they host Congo Brazzaville side AS Otoho d’Oyo this Sunday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.

KCCA have not lost at Lugogo since Mike Mutebi’s return and the 2018 Airtel-FUFA coach of the year has done incredible work at the club, winning two league titles, Uganda Cups and subsequently turning out remarkable at the continent. However, dumping out the Brazzaville side that came by a chartered plane in a contingent of 80 will be the biggest achievement since his return in 2014 –as it looks virtually unpredictable. The Uganda Cup holders hold the home advantage and the odds for victory are high, but pulling-off a 4-0 victory to progress will be historical and phenomenal. Despite the fact, midfielder Julius Poloto believes that the team can write history. “It is a big game in our careers that while its big, like every developing player this is the kind of game you want to feature in because it stays in the history books. The number of goals we need to progress gives us courage and confidence to win the game and make history,” noted Poloto. KCCA conceded twice in a space of two minutes of first half in Brazzaville and despite desire for an early lead and henceforth more goals is eminent; protection against conceding is either way imperative.
