Uganda National Women’s Basketball League title holders JKL Lady Dolphins have secured Moreen Atulinda as their latest recruit. The former Kampala International university (KIU) player joined the club on a 2-year deal, the club conformed on Monday. The Center cum small and power forward has been up to eight seasons top flight experience and hence she stands handy for her new side. Dubbed ‘Momo,’ in basketball circles, Atulinda has expressed delight in joining the new basketball queens. “I feel so good and excited about joining JKL Dolphins Sports Club. I have been waiting for this moment for a while now,” Atulinda told the club website. According to Atulinda, JKL is a very great team, with great roaster, exceptional coaches as well as good management. JKL Technical Manager Fredricks Owora revealed that Atulinda’s arrival is a huge boost to the team. “I am happy that Atulinda has agreed to join us. Her position is the one in which we lost two players (Salma Akinyi and Anitsha Wasagali) and hence we needed reinforcements,” Owora noted before hailing Atulinda’s experience. Atulinda, who plays for the national ladies team, joins JKL’s established stars like Ritah Immanishimwe, Jamila Nansikombi, Flavia Oketcho and the like
