Kabowa, Crown leapfrog Parakeets in futsal league

Futsal league action

YEAK Kabowa moved to the summit of the Futsal Super league after a 7-4 win at Equator in the penultimate tie. Kabowa entered match day 12 third with 20 points and were beneficiaries of a late kick-off to thump the struggling Equator to leapfrog Parakeets and Crown.
Shafic Avema was on the score sheet four times, Enock Sebagala netted a brace and Edgar Bwogi grabbed a goal in the rout. Parakeets, who had led the table for long spells, failed to tame the movements of Nomads who won 6-2. They drop to third place with their 22 points, same as Crown in second place. Crown fought hard to contain Typhoons in a 4-2 result that saw them move from fourth to second. Shafic Avema moves to second on the scorers list after his four goals that put his tally at 18, one behind injured Joseph Kizza Bukenya. Iddi Babu (Park), Ahmed Fatah (Crown) and Shafic Mulangira close the top five with 14 and 13 respectively. The league returns this Thursday with seven fixtures on card.
