Tooro United vs Express, Fort Portal
Police vs Nyamityobora, Lugogo
Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye will miss a chance to make his Express FC debut this Tuesday after being excluded from the match day squad. The Midfielder, who is on loan for six months from reigning champions Vipers SC, had ‘his papers’ not ready by Monday, according to head coach Kefa Kisala. “Zaga’s papers were not ready and he is not in our match day squad but the rest of the new signings are available,” he said. Express FC unveiled five new signings on Friday including striker Brian Umony who hopes to have a great debut when the Red Eagles visit Tooro United at Buhinga stadium, Fort Portal. Defender Sadiq Ssekyembe, midfielder Goffin Oyirwoth and forward Ivan Ocholit are all in contention to have their debuts this Tuesday. “We know Tooro United has had a good run at Buhinga but we are not moved by history. We are here to win and that is what we shall work for,” added Kisala, who also rubbished rumours that striker Tony Odur wants to leave the club after the arrival of Umony. Tooro United have not lost at home since relocation to Buhinga stadium and have only held twice. Head coach Wasswa Bbosa is motivated by the fact. “We are ready for the game. It is good that we are starting second round at home where we are yet to lose,” noted Bbosa, whose side is fresh from ejecting KCCA FC from Stanbic Uganda Cup from the same venue at the round of 32. The hosts who have no injured midfielder Mahad Yaya Kakooza lost the reverse fixture 2-0 at Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku. Express are 7th on log with 21 points while Tooro United are 10th with 20 points.
