Wednesday fixtures
Mbarara City vs KCCA, Kakyeka
BUL vs Maroons, Njeru
KCCA FC could be concerned of Mbarara City’s impressive home run when the two sides clash in the Uganda premier league this Wednesday at Kakyeka stadium, Mbarara.

The current leaders come off a devastating trip to Fort Portal where they were ejected from the 2018/19 Stanbic Uganda Cup by Tooro United at the round of 32. The visitors will not have team manager Mike Mutebi, who starts off his four-match touchline ban Fufa over match fixing allegations that ‘put the game in disrepute’. Mutebi’s assistant Morley Byekwaso will be worried about the fact that the hosts, who managed a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at Lugogo, have not lost at home this season –having won 7 and drawn once in the eight home fixtures. They have also led in 7 of their 8 home games –with only URA and Bright Stars managing to score against them at Kakyeka. With the two side’s playing to draws in the previous three league meetings, all eyes will be on KCCA ‘Old Boy’ Paul Mucureezi, who is enjoying fantastic form since moving to the Ankole Lions. The forward, who has so far scored five and provided 7 times, has also celebrated victory in every home game he has scored. The Livingstone Mbabazi side has not lost against the top 7 sides this season while KCCA’s only loss of the season came on an away ground; against Express at Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku. Away from the team manager, KCCA will miss injured Gift Ali, Sadam Juma, Erick Senjobe, Jackson Nunda and Filbert Obenchan. But in Patrick Kaddu, who has scored 7 so far, and the fertile creativity, the 12-time champions have hopes for goals. Mbarara City meanwhile will have no center back Rashid Mohamed to partner with new skipper Hillary Mukundane, who captains his first home game after taking over from departed Asuman Alishe. But first choice goal keeper Ali Kimera returns from suspension. KCCA lead the log with 36 points after 15 games, 8 points adrift 3rd placed Mbarara City from as many games. At FUFA technical center in Njeru meanwhile, 5th placed BUL FC welcome 12th placed Maroons that start life without Coach George Nsimbe, who threw in towel this month.
