Frank ‘Zaga’ Tumwesigye endured a tough debut despite playing full time as Express lost at home 2-0 against Police FC in the StarTimes Uganda premier league tie on Monday. The play maker on loan from Vipers SC started at Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku but struggled to make an impact as the visitors took all the three points with goals from Juma Balinya and Johnson Odong. Zaga missed the Red Eagles’ previous tie that ended in a 1-0 away loss to Tooro united –with fellow new signings Brian Umony and Ivan Ocholit also making a losing debut. Juma Balinya scored his 10th of the season after 31 minutes to level SC Villa’s Bashir Mutanda as the current joint premier league top scorers before Johnson Odong sealed victory inside the four added minutes as Police added to Express’ misery. This was the second straight loss for the Red Eagles after opening the second round with a 1-0 loss away to Tooro United last time out. Police who were coming off a humiliating 4-1 loss to Nyamityobora last time out raised three places to 7th with 24 points from 17 games while the Kefa Kisala side slipped a place 10th with 21 points from as many games. Kisala conceded that his charges were not up to the task while Police’S Abdullah Mubiru noting that their loss to Abanyakale gave them room to retune.
