Express appeal skipper’s four-match ban

Express FC have appealed against a ban slapped onto their skipper Michael Birungi by FUFA competitions disciplinary panel. The forward was slapped a four-match ban and further seriously warned after his attack on match officials as Express left 1-0 away to Tooro United on January 29, 2019 at Buhinga stadium, Fort portal. “The action was breach of FUFA competitions. However, the Red Eagles, through club Chief Executive Officer (CEO) appealed against the decision that Birungi was not served with the charge or petition contrary to FUFA Competitions rules and he was therefore not given chance to defend himself.
