The 2019 National social security fund (NSSF) Kampala Seven hills Hash run has received a Shs15m sponsorship boost from Orient Bank limited. NSSF Managing Director Richard Byarugaba received the sponsorship from Orient bank Executive Director Darshana Bhatia and Managing Director Julius Kakeeto over the weekend. The money will go towards organization of the annual charity run slated for March 17 in Kampala. This year’s Hash run targets Shs500m that will go towards the renovation of four upcountry schools on top of the KCCA public schools in Kampala. Previously, the run was only open to corporate companies that supported the cause by registering their employees as a team to participate in the run, but this year’s run has opened up to individual participation at Shs25,000 while companies will participate according to the different packages that include Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze. To date, over Shs300m has been collected and handed over to the management of KCCA and over six schools have benefited from this charitable cause. Some of the companies that have already signed up to support this year’s run include among others Stanbic Bank, Mukwano Industries, Umeme, Housing Finance and Red Pepper Publications.
