FUFA Big league sides Proline and Kyetume FC secured their quarter final places at this season’s Stanbic Uganda Cup following their home and way victories respectively on Sunday. The Round of 16 fixtures saw Proline eject Premier league and West Nile side Onduparaka after 2-1 win at Lugogo with goals from Bright Anukani and Ivan Bogere whilst Ceasor Okhuti found the visitors’ consolation. Similarly, Robert Ssentongo scored the only goal in the 13th minute as Kyetume recorded a 1-0 away at Kitara. Onduparaka joined Tooro United as another Premier league side to bow out at the Round of 16 after the latter lost 4-2 on penalties to FUFA Big league side Wakiso Giants on Friday in Bugembe. Tooro United that ejected last season champions KCCA FC at the previous stage were held to a barren stalemate before the Ibrahim Kirya’s side progressed after triumph in spot kicks. Meanwhile BUL were 4-1 winners at home against lower division side Bukedea Town Council. Regional league side Nkambi Coffee that had ejected 9-time winners SC Villa at the previous round were ejected by Nebbi Central after 1-0 away loss. Last season’s finalists Vipers SC toiled to a 1-0 home win at regional league side Kiboga Young at Kitende on Saturday, thanks to a late Abraham Ndugwa goal.
