Kampala International University (KIU) will be looking to bounce back when they host Busitema University this Friday at Nsambya in the Pepsi University Football League.

KIU lost their first game 4-2 to reigning champions Kyambogo University and Coach Akabwai Geoffrey believes the team will bounce back and do better against Busitema.

“We didn’t play well against Kyambogo. We had some goalkeeping and defensive errors that cost us but we have worked on them in training and I hope we can bounce back against Busitema,” Akabwai said.

“Our group is a tricky one. I think any of us can finish in the top two and thus when we have such a game at home, it is important that we get all three points,” he added.

For Busitema coach Namugenyi Dorothy, the game is a tricky one.

“KIU are a tricky team to play. They have very good players and will be playing at home. Our team is still fresh and young although I am confident that we shall be able to come away with a point at least,” he noted.

The Pepsi-sponsored league continues this Saturday with champions Kyambogo University visiting Kumi University.
