Kyambogo 0-0 Busitema
Defending champions Kyambogo University were held at home by Busitema University on Sunday in the Pepsi University Football League group C clash at Kyambogo.
The hosts were looking to consolidate their position at the summit. They are unbeaten since last season but lost their first points of the season on Sunday, having earlier won two games on the trot to top Group C with 5 points -despite being docked 2 points and 2 goals on start for their fans indiscipline last season.
Kyambogo had to give their best after they luckily collected maximum points on visit to Kumi University last timeout. “They were a tough team to play. They played very well and gave us little room to create for any goals,” noted Kyambogo Coach Deo Sserwadda.
Busitema are also unbeaten this season, but have drawn all their three games; previously against Kumi and KIU respectively.
Busitema Coach Namugenyi Dorothy was happy with a point off Kyambogo which kept them third with 3 points, 2 behind leaders Kyambogo (5 points) and one point behind second placed Kumi University. With one point, KIU are at the foot.
Meanwhile, International University of East Africa (IUEA) will this Monday unveil a new coach after firing Dorian Ntambi, who leaves the winless debutants at the foot of group D.
