The third edition of the Uganda–France friendship week celebrations climaxed on Saturday at Kyadondo Rugby Club with a rugby match between the Rugby Cranes Select team and the French Pacific Military outfit before entertainment from top local artists.


Artiste Eddy Kenzo was one of the biggest beneficiaries of these festivals as his sports academy dubbed ‘Big Talent Soccer School’ was officially launched by the France ambassador to Uganda H.E Stephanie Rivoal.
The launch was done immediately after Eddy Kenzo’s side beat French School in Kampala 2-0 in a friendly at Kyadondo. The Ambassador lauded Kenzo for thinking outside the music industry.

Kenzo also a BET Award winner was humbled for having the ambassador launch his project which he intends to expand.
Uganda Olympic Committee (UOC) President William Blick pledged to support Kenzo. Blick also revealed that France will construct an all-weather condition sports court at Katalina primary school, Naguru as they did at Kibuli Police School last year. Later in the day, the Uganda Rugby Cranes select team beat the French Pacific Military 34-13.

The house was full to capacity as fly half Ivan Magomu ran the show for the home side –scoring two of Uganda’s six tries to clinch the Man of the match honors.
