Uganda Woodball Federation (UWBF) technical committee named the team to represent Uganda at the second edition of the Beach Woodball world cup Championship after two hectic trials at Spennah beach, Entebbe. Eight men and eight women constitute the 16-man senior team whereas eight boys and eight girls make up the youth team. Opio Emmanuel Ecuru, 2017 UWBF MVP Gwaka Brian, Muwanguzi Israel Kayongo and Bossa Bruno are some of the notable male players that missed out on the final list despite the trio representing Uganda at the first edition of the Beach Woodball world cup hosted by Indonesia in 2017. Top seed Lillian Zawedde, Namuddu Sophie and Kagaba Charity, who represented Uganda at the 8th World cup Woodball Championship in Thailand last year, were the notable women top players to miss out. Uganda will host the 2019 Beach Woodball world cup between 24th May and 31st of the same month at Spennah beach, Entebbe with government and Chinese embassy in Uganda as the top sponsors.
