Four schools to represent Kampala region in Girls football

The 2019 national Fresh Dairy Ball Games 1 were launched in February and will be held on May 4-11 at at Mbale SSS

  1. Kawempe Muslim, Gaddafi integrated academy, Uganda Martyrs High school and Katuuso Community will represent Kampala region in the Girls football of the forthcoming Fresh Dairy-sponsored national championships due May at Mbale SSS. The quadruple were the semi finalists in the Kampala regional qualifiers played at Old Kampala SSS on Saturday. Kawempe and Gaddafi integrated topped group B and A respectively. Nabisunsa girls SSS was some of the schools making their maiden appearances in the Girls football competition. Coach Amstrong Manano believes the start is good because the girls have talent and only need motivation and encouragement. Nine schools took part in the Kampala region one-day qualifiers including; Kawempe Muslim, Uganda martyrs High school, Lubaga Girls, Makerere College, Nabisunsa Girls, Gaddafi Integrated, Katuuso community, St Peters SSS, Nsambya and St Joseph Girls. Meanwhile, Wakiso region qualifiers will be held this Saturday at Wakisha recreation center with over 30 schools expected. The racket games (table tennis and badminton) qualifiers are on this Wednesday and Thursday at MTN Arena, Lugogo.
