Kyembe targets winning return from sabbatical

Having upgraded from Subaru N12 to a more powerful N14, former national motocross rider Dan Mugalu Kyembe has raised his 2019 rally target. Kyembe, who is based in South Africa currently, went into a two-year sabbatical due to demanding tight business schedule as well as family; but targets to scope the South African state championship to cap his return. The Pretoria-based driver is in the cockpit this weekend (Saturday) as he takes part in the Womza national rally championship round one in the in the province of Pretoria. “It has been while when I last raced, but am glad to announce that am fully back to contend for 2019 Womza national rally championship,” intimated Kyembe, who expressed gratitude for Ugandans in South Africa who have come to his rescue and supported him back into the sport, including; Abdul Tenywa of Jeppe College and Mubiru of Mubirich money services. The one-day event has five competitive stages; two repeated, Dam1 and Susan1 with the longest being 16.8km and shortest 15km. Competitive stage Susan will be driven in reverse as stage five.
