The Pepsi University football league returns this Tuesday afternoon with rejuvenated Kampala International University (KIU) hosting unbeaten reigning champions Kyambogo in Kansanga.

KIU got their first win of the season after a 2-1 win over Kumi University last Saturday. Yunus Muftau and Fred Ayebare scored for the visitors whilst Peace Edweu scoring Kumi consolation.
Despite being docked 2 points and goals for indiscipline last season, Kyambogo are leading group C with 6 points after 4 games while Busitema, Kumi and KIU are 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively with joint 4 points –only separated by goal difference.
Meanwhile, Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) became the first team to qualify to the knockout stage of the competition after their 2-0 away win at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) in Mbale on Saturday, thanks to goals from Shafic Nsereko and John Nakibinge.
UMU lead group B with 10 points from 4 games, 3 ahead of second placed St Lawrence University (SLAU) while IUIU and Gulu are 3rd and 4th respectively. Nkumba University also edged closure to knockout stage after 2-0 home win over Bishop Stuart University.
