Tycoon Rajiv Ruparelia has set high his ambitions to join competitive rallying after the 29-year-old joining a rally school.
The teenage tycoon declared his ambitions to join rally sport two weeks ago and has since enrolled for lessons at the Rallystar Academy in South Africa.
Rajiv will undergo specialised training with former rally driver Leon Botha. “I decided to join rallying just to feed my strong passion for Motorsport. But also I want to have fun. And rallying is not something you just wake up and take on. I decided to join a rally school to get myself equipped with some experience,” he said.
Rajiv, who is expected to join another rally school in Finland for more exposure and experience before his competitive debut, has already acquired a Volkswagen Proto to set his ambitions rolling. Rajiv Ruparelia steps in the footsteps of his uncle Dipu Ruparelia –a former rally driver.
