Kibuli SS go into this year’s Copa Coca-Cola secondary schools football finals at Jinja College starting from May 7 with a sole target –to win their 11th title.

Kibuli last lifted the title in 2016 when they beat St Mary’s SS, Kitende at the final as they became record 10-time winners following 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1999, 2000, 2005, 2014 and 2016 triumph.
Abdallah Nsubuga Nakalya, the school’s games teacher says that to ensure their championship target, they rested their top players during the concluded UMEA Games at Kasawo Islamic last month as they were eliminated at quarter finals.Away from the title, Kibuli also wants to become the inaugural

winners of the ‘Coca-Cola Recycle and Win’ campaign where the competition sponsors aim at a World without waste by 2030.
Four secondary schools in four regions will have their pitches refurbished by Coca-Cola and the 2000 participating schools will compete in collecting the most Coca-Cola 350ml plastic bottles for recycling.
Additionally, schools will be paid cash for the total kilograms collected as it is with the national consumer collection while participating students and champion teachers will stand a chance to win bursaries and other exciting prizes respectively.
All tallied results will be recorded on a collection form with the winning schools getting rewarded on Sunday, May 7 during the 2019 Copa Coca-Cola official opening ceremony.
Buddo SS are the defending champions after beating (11-man team) Blessed Sacrament, Kimaanya in the final last year.
