Corporates sweat plasma last Sunday during the 3rd outing of the 2019 Corporate league where they competed in football and basketball at the Kyambogo cricket oval.

The outing saw mouthwatering clashes and shocking results. Football defending champions and Group A leaders Centenary bank continued with their fine start to the season, securing maximum points from their games played.

Dfcu bank and Cipla quality chemicals were among the other teams that secured maximum points. Uganda Revenue Authority extended their unbeaten run with a 2-0 win over Hotel Africana while Neptune financial software suffered a humiliating 6-1 to Stanbic bank Uganda limited before the latter saw off KCB.
It was yet another losing debut for veteran Journalist Mark Ssali, who appeared for UNRA where he heads communication. UNRA lost 3-2 to CIC Insurance.
Coca-cola was shocked with 3-1 loss to Hotel Africana –the team with the most vibrant fans. In Basketball, defending champions MTN-Uganda suffered a shock 18-15 defeat to debutantes Buganda land board while URA started off with a lowly 7-5 win against Bollore logistics before a walkover against Posta.

The Corporate league is played at every last Sunday of the month throughout the year with over 50 companies taking part in football, pool, swimming, volleyball, basketball, athletics, netball among others fan-filled games. After the third outing, National social security fund (NSSF) are on top of the overall rankings table with 46 points, 6 above Coca-Cola beverages in second while Cipla, Centenary bank, Hotel Africana, CAA, MTN-Uganda, Stanbic Bank, Uganda breweries, Airtel-Uganda complete the top ten.
