Fufa Big League
Wakiso Giants 2-1 Entebbe
Proline 1-1 Kansai
Wakiso Giants were on Thursday promoted to the StarTimes Uganda Premier league on the first asking after their 2-1 win over Entebbe at home in the FUFA Big league tie played at Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe.

Norman Ogik returned from and gave Wakiso lead with a beauty. Ogik took on Ivan Kiweewa’s ball to loop a helpless Entebbe FC keeper.
Wesley Kisakye canceled Ogik’ effort as the two sides went into the break level.
It was an unlikely source as Ivan Kiweewa slotted home the winner from close to secure Purple Sharks slot in the premier league next season.
The victory left the Purple Sharks with 40 points, four above second placed Kyetume with just a game to go. Kyetume beat Nebbi Central 5-1 in the other game. Wakiso Giants will travel to Arua to face Dove All stars in their last game.
Whereas it was joy for Wakiso Giants, it was all tears for Entebbe FC as they were confirmed relegated with the loss.
Meanwhile, Proline will live to rue the limited missed chances should they fail to secure automatic qualification on the final day.
Proline were just a win away to qualification when they hosted second placed Kansai Plascon on Thursday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo in the battle for former premier league sides.
The Shafic Bisaso side was instead held to a 1-1 draw by Plascon.
Ivan Bogere put the hosts in the lead with his 14th of the season as the league top scorer before Sula Bagala equalised for the dominant visitors from the spot following right back Mustapha Mujuzi’s lousy foul.
The top two teams from both Elgon and Rwenzori Big league groups earn automatic qualification while the two respective runners-up battle in play-offs for the last single slot to premiership next season.
