Defending champions Buddo SS, favorites St Mary’s SS-Kitende, Standard High-Zana and Jinja SS will play in the semi finals of this year’s Copa Coca-Cola championship this Friday in Jinja.

Kitende, the 2015 champions beat St Henry’s Kitovu 2-0 at the quarter finals on Thursday with goals from Charles Lwanga and Richard Basangwa.

Buddo SS continued to stamp the mark with a 2-0 win over Jinja Progressive academy (JIPRA) courtesy of Emmanuel Loki brace. In another quarter final, Aaron Okwi scored the only goal for Standard High-Zana to grab a slim 1-0 win over impressive Royal Giants-Mityana.

Fans’ favorite and 2017 champions Jinja SS crawled to the semi finals after a 3-1 win over Bulo Parents in penalties following a barren normal time stalemate.

The semi finals will be played this Friday and the final is scheduled for Saturday at Kakindu grounds. At the semi finals, Buddo SS squares up with St Marys SS, Kitende in the game dubbed ‘final before final’ by the football fans.

In another semi final, fans’ favourites Jinja SS play Standard High-Zana at later in the evening after the first semi final at the Kakindu grounds.
