Express FC have officially released captain Isaac Mutanga just six months after indefinitely suspending form captain Julius Ntambi over mach fixing allegations.

The defender joined the Red Eagles in the concluding season and was named assistant captain under Coach Kefa Kisala before he took over as captain under current coach George Ssemwogerere.
According to the statement on the club website, Mutanga was officially released by the club and whished the best in his career.
“Everyone wishes Mutanga the very best in his career and thank him for the spirited performances and leadership,” partly read the statement released on Monday.
Mutanga last featured for the Betway-sponsored against KCCA FC in the premier league as he missed the last games through injuries.
Pepper Sport has learned that Mutanga had told his boss at the six-time champions that he had a club abroad chasing his services as the league concluded and thus looked unsettled to lead the club wholeheartedly.
Reports indicate that Express could resign Shafik Bakaki or Bernard Muwanga from SC Villa and KCCA respectively.
