After losing to Namibia by 42 runs on Tuesday, Uganda Cricket Cranes have shifted focus to their second game this Wednesday against Kenya in the ongoing ICC Men’s Twenty 20 (T20) World Cup Africa Finals at the Kyambogo University Oval.
Favorites Namibia won by 167/7 from 20 overs against Uganda’s 125/8 from 20 overs. Uganda put up laudable bowling to contain Namibia to 167 margin however, their false batting could not given them advantage.
Uganda’s skipper Roger Mukasa managed 14 runs off 17 balls which summed up the team’s batting collapse.
“It was surely a bad day in office for us. We struggled to contain Namibia and we had to pay the prize,” confessed Mukasa, who believes they can do better against Kenya the Lugogo cricket oval.
“It is a big game for us but we look forward to victory because every game is a final now,” added Mukasa. The tie, together with the two others, was initially slated for the opening day but heavy downpour washed out the games.
