Meanwhile, JKL Lady Dolphins managed to overcome UCU Lady Canons to secure a hard fought 77-66 as the second round tipped-off.
UCU were on course to break JKL’s unbeaten run but the reigning champions, who trailed 47-53 fought back to score 30 points while limiting UCU to just 13.
JKL had five players in double figures; Flavia Oketcho and Jamila Nansikombi came off the bench to collect 14 and 12 points respectively. Hope Akello had 14, Rita Imanishimwe collected 13 points and Peace Nakirijja added 11 points for the Henry Malinga side.
