Uganda Cranes defender Murushid Juuko has vowed to tame Senegalese play maker and Captain Sadio Mane when Uganda takes on Senegal this Friday at the Cairo international stadium in Egypt during the second match of the last 16 stage.
The Liverpool FC skillful forward pauses a huge threat to Uganda’s back line due to his speed, and therefore Uganda needs to keep mane out of the game if they are to make it to the quarter finals for the first time since 1978.
The Simba SC center back who returns from injury that forced him to miss two group games against Zimbabwe and Egypt respectively revealed that he is ready to encounter the Senegal talisman.
“I know how to tame such players like Mane. I have faced many in Africa and therefore I’ve learnt how to handle them,” revealed Juuko, who added that there is need to focus on the entire team rather than an individual in the Senegal squad.
Juuko was part if the Cranes team which faced Senegal in June 2017 during the friendly that ended goalless in Dakar. The Cranes resumed training on Wednesday after boycotting Tuesday training over unpaid bonuses.
This is after FUFA accepted to pay extra $6000 to the players.
