URA FC has confirmed extension of midfielders; Shafik Kagimu Kuchi and Patrick Mbowa contracts. Captain Kagimu will stay at the club until 2024.
The Tax Collectors confirmed that the play maker signed a 3-year contract extension ahead of the new StarTimes Uganda Premier League 2019/20 season. Kagimu captained URA to a third place finish in the premier league last season –scoring scoring eight goals and assisting six times along the way.
“It is a real honor to continue representing this amazing club. I want to maintain my stability at the club for the best of my career. We had some good football last season and I also see the club moving in the right direction that is why I decided to extend my contract for this long,” confessed Kagimu.
Meanwhile, defender-cum-midfielder Mbowa Patrick also signed a two-year new contract with URA FC which will keep him at the club until June 2021.
Both Mbowa and Kagimu are port of the Uganda Cranes squad under interim coach Abdullah Mubiru preparing for CHAN 2020 qualifiers double header against Somalia on July 27 and August 3 in Mogadishu and Kampala respectively.
