South Africa are the only African side in the semi finals of the ongoing Netball World Cup in Liverpool, England after seeing off Uganda.

The Proteas, who joined by England (hosts), New Zealand and Australia (reigning champions), will battle the Vitality Roses (England) on Thursday to decide who tops the group.

Uganda She Cranes and South Africa Proteas clashed on Wednesday with South Africa wining  67–40 to confirm a semi-final place who have this far won all of their four matches at the tournament.

South Africa joined holders Australia and New-Zealand, who on Tuesday qualified for the semis with their fifth victory at the tournament.

Uganda have won three games so far, only losing to England and South Africa, and are only playing to better their 8th place finish at the 2015 World Cup. The other African countries in Liverpool are Zimbabwe and Malawi.

While fans are looking up to the Thursday South Africa’s match against England to determine the winner of Group, the Proteas’ Msomi Bongiwe had earlier stressed that they were only focused on Wednesday’s match against the She-Cranes.
