Mbarara City have appointed Brian Ssenyondo as interim head coach replacing Livingstone Mbabazi, who reigned to rejoin Onduparaka FC.
Ssenyondo, who was initially apointed assistant coach for the Ankole Lions will be in charge of the team in the Super 8.
The Ankole Lions will host URA in the opening round of the 2019 Pilsner Super 8 Tournament on Friday, 2nd August in Ssenyondo’s first competitive game in the new role.
Ssenyondo previously coached at Synergy Football Club which side he led to the semi finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup in the 2017/18 season.
In the same vein, Baker Kasule retains his role as Technical Director and Jamil Damba will be the Goal Keeping Coach.
In a related development, Mbarara City and Livingstone Mbabazi have finally agreed to terminate contract after Mbarara City and Onduparaka resolved their compensation issues.
