Wakiso Giants vs URA

URA FC defender Yesiri Waibi wants to see his side finish on the high when they face Wakiso Giants this Monday in the 5th place classification match of the 2019 Pilsner Super 8 preseason tournament at the Wakiso resource center grounds, Wakiso.

URA beat Proline while Wakiso Giants beat Tooro United at the previous classification round and the winner this Monday has Shs6m at stake while the runners up have Shs5m prize money.

The teams are expected to use the game in preparation for the new season with the Tax Collectors set to visit the Purple Sharks on match day three of the 2019/20 StarTimes Uganda premier league.

Wakiso Giants coach Kefa Kisala may hand new signings Viane Sekajugo and Kirizestom Ntambi their debuts while defender Ibrahim Kiyemba will need late fitness test.

“It’s so unfortunate that we did not start off so well in our opening match against Mbarara. We should have done better. That is done now; we have to keep working hard so we can finish off on a good note,” noted the left back, whose side has Ronald Odokonyera from Ndejje University as their latest signing on a three-year deal.

URA beat Proline FC in shootouts after a one-all draw. Proline’s debuting Hamis Diego Kiiza cancelled out Crowmwel Rwothomio’s opener.

The former Paidha Black Angles captain also scored the only goal as URA beat Wakiso Giants 1-0 in the July friendly in Wakiso.

The 2019 Pilsner Super 8 preseason tournament champions will take home Shs20m while the runners up have Shs12m.

The third and fourth place sides take Shs10m and Shs8m respectively whilST the 6th, 7th and 8th will take Shs6m, Shs5m and Shs4m respectively.
