Debutant Bayo inspires Vipers to Pilsner Super 8 title

Bayo (L) takes on John Revita before the latter was red carded late in second half
Fahad Bayo scored twice as Vipers SC dethroned ten-man KCCA as the new Pilsner Super 8 champions on Sunday at the Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.
In a game of two different game approaches, it was Vipers who came on top with a 2-0 victory to clinch thier maiden title.
With a man-to-man game approach, Vipers suffocated space in which KCCA would impose their style of play.
The Venoms were successful in keeping KCCA creativity at bay with Siraje Sentamu decently controlling the middle of the park.
Signed this season as a free agent , the forward opened his account on debut in the 12th minute finishing off Abraham Ndugwa’s free kick from right.

Looking tired after a hectic CAF Champions league, preminary round return leg at home against African Stars from Namibia, KCCA had limited creativity that their only shot on target came three minutes to normal time through Muzamir Mutyaba.

In the 67th minute, Brian NkubiĀ  whose powerful ground pass was connected home by Bayo again.

Things went from bad to worse for KCCA FC defensively, as they were struggling to contain Vipers, Revita was sent off for a second bookable offence on Tito Okello whom he fouked for the first booking.
