Elephants FC were crowned the Guinness 5-aside football champions on Sunday after beating Team Kibbobo 15-03 in the final played at the Fast Sports Fusion, 5th Street, Industrial Area Kampala.
Elephants who, went home with Shs5m winners cash prize, carried a 7-2 half time lead before winning the tournament unbeaten.
“I am very happy about the win because we worked hard for this but most of all, we enjoyed our selves. We train every Monday from this venue and every Thursday in Ntinda,” Elephant’s goal keeper Hassan Sseka.
The Kololo-based outfit had also earlier on won accolades at the Kampala International Kids League, Corporate League and the Uganda Futsal games.
A total of 24 teams mostly from corporate companies graced the Guinness-sponsored 5-aside competition and were drawn into six groups.
