Entrance: Shs10k, 30K, 50K, 100K

Ugandan heavyweight professional Boxer Shafiq Kiwanuka will get back to the ropes against Zimbabwe’s Thamsang Dube in the 12-round World boxing federation (WBF) heavy weight vacant title bout due November 29 at International University of East Africa (IUEA) Auditorium in Kansanga.

Uhuru restaurant’s Salim Uhuru and IUEA’s Hassan Alwi, also a top rally driver, are the main sponsors of the impressive youthful fighter. Uhuru told the press during the launch on Tuesday at IUEA that the commission will ensure that the fight is professionally organized so as to end successfully.

“The Uganda Professional Boxing Commission (UPBC) will ensure that fight is organized in a professional way and ends successively. We are to make sure that the rules and regulations are respected as we look forward to a great fight,” said Uhuru, who will also feed the fighter at his Uhuru restaurant together with the foreign fighters.

Kiwanuka, who has won his two professional bouts with ease is looking forward to a third straight knockout victory.

“I have started preparations and will continue. I am ready for this fight albeit my opponent having a great record. I am not scared of record because I am a killing machine. I therefore call upon my fellow Ugandans to come and support me as I raise our country’s flag,” said Kiwanuka.

The boxer, who is under Big Strikers Promotion company, has previously Kenya’s David Kamara and Tyson Mbikayi from Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

In Thamsang though, he finds a more experienced opponent, who has fought 15 times, winning 12 times; 7 knockouts by knockout and only losing thrice.
