Uganda junior cricket side left for Rwanda on Sunday for the Quadrangular Youth Series due September 23-24 in Kigali.
The invitational Series are played by two youthful Rwandan teams, Uganda junior team and Nyakasura School from Uganda.
The team that was officially flagged off by the National Council of Sports (NCS) Assistant General Secretary in charge of technical David Katende was selected from the 2019 edition of the school’s cricket week.
It is expected to use the tournament to get exposure abroad ahead of the 2021 U19 World Cup Qualifiers.
Kings College Budo’s Aaron Aine is team captain deputized by Mohammed Yakubu from Makerere College.
“It is a great opportunity and we shall do our best to make ourselves and country proud,” noted Aine.
Onlythree players that featured in the Star Field Tournament in August are part of the team.
