Uganda aims at Bosch Badminton Challenge title defense

The tournament was launched and started on Friday morning at Lugogo arena

Uganda is aiming to defend the Bosch East African badminton challenge title that started on Friday till Sunday at the Lugogo Arena.

Over 900 entries were received by the Uganda badminton Association (UBA) Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Simon Mugabi.

City tyres and Bosch motor spare parts are the sponsors of the 2019 edition and it is the fifth year running they are bankrolling the biggest competition on the local badminton calendar.

“We have different categories in individual and team events. We also have corporate and universities competing in their own category,” noted Mugabi.

Uganda has won the overall title for the last two editions and is aiming for the third straight title. The hosts, Kenya, Ethiopia, India and Denmark are the countries with entries.
