The 2019 Coral coatings national woodball open will be hosted at Muni University in Arua this weekend on October 19-20. The 11th edition received Shs35m sponsorship from the headline sponsors –Coral coatings on Tuesday.
Michael Masene, the Coral Coatings Operations Manager hailed Uganda woodball federation (UWBF) for the previous successful events and also being accountable to the funds extended to them.
“As Coral coatings, we are very delighted to be part of this. We want to thank the federation for the putting the sponsorship into better use,” noted Masene.
The 2019 national open local organizing committee chairperson Shahnaaz Luwedde promised better organization during this edition as Coral coatings makes five years of headline sponsors. Thirty four (34) teams are confirmed for the two-day event with.
Junior and Youth categories will be played on Saturday while the Corporate and Open categories will be played on both Saturday and Sunday. St. Agnes Primary, Entebbe and Bukalabi C/U Primary School are the men and women junior defending champions, Luzira SS and Mpoma School won in Youths respectively.
In the Corporates, Vision Group and Ndejje Corporate Woodball Club were the men and women champions while Ndejje University – A Ndejje and Corporate Woodball Club were respective open category champions.
