Uganda 3-0 Burundi (Agg: 6-0)
Uganda booked a place at the CHAN finals for the fifth time after beating Burundi 6-0 on aggregate on Saturday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo to qualify for the 2020 finals in Cameroon.
Coming into the return leg with a commanding 3-0 first leg win, Uganda got off the mark with an early 5th minute goal as in-form Fahad Bayo finished off Mustafa Kizza cross from left after Burundi feeble defending.
It was Bayo’s first competitive goal at the Cranes senior team in two appearances as his he continues with his fantastic goal-scoring form that has seen him, with six goals, lead the scorers log this season in the StarTimes Uganda premier league.
The hosts dictated and dominated possession but could not get any better lead by half time. On return, Uganda still looked the better side and were paid in the 70th minute when substitute Viane Sekajugo pounced on right back Paul Willa’s well laid cross from the right.

This was the Wakiso Giants forward’s second at the Cranes in two games –having made his debut in Bujumbura.
Allan Okello, who alongside Mike Mutyaba played behind Fahad Bayo, scored the third with seven minutes to play –riding on a mistake by Burundi goal keeper Onesime Rukudo.
It was another emphatic victory for Uganda in the CHAN qualifiers who qualify to the final tournament for the 5th straight time with 13 goals scored and conceding two.
