The 2019/20 StarTimes FUFA Big league return this Sunday with match day two fixtures at different grounds after kick off on Thursday. Katwe United started its quest to qualify to the Star times Uganda premier league next season on a high with a 1-0 home win at Light SS on Thursday at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo. Abdul Ssemwogerere goal in the 73rd minute earned the ‘Tulibanyiivu’ side at Lugogo an opening win. The side, coached by Cranes legend Hassan Mubiru, will be away in their next fixture at on Sunday at Katusabe Dove grounds. Elsewhere, Asaba Richardson scored a brace as Ndejje University FC edged Alex Isabirye’s Nyamityobora 2-1 in a clash of former Uganda Premier League sides held at Arena of visions, Bombo. Captain Denis Ssekitoleko’s goal was enough as Steven Bogere’s UPDF FC registered a 1-0 away win against Dove FC in Masindi. Musa Naluwere was on target as MYDA beat Kiboga Young 1-0 away at CRO Sansiro in Mbale. Kakuru Hassan and Rashid Matovu netted for Kigezi Homeboyz, formerly Kabale Sharp to seal a 2-1 away against Water FC at Luzira Prisons while Paidha Black Angels’ game against KatakaFC was abandoned in the 39th minute due to heavy downpour. Paidha beat Kataka football club 2-1 in Zombo.
