Kyetume 1-2 Vipers SC
BUL 1-1 Bright stars
Police 2-1 Wakiso Giants
There was no better way for Busoga United to celebrate 100 premier league games than a win away from home. Promoted as Kirinya Jinja SSS in the 2015/16 season, the side which was renamed Busoga United this year, marked 100 top flight games on Tuesday at the Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku.

The Jinja side were 2-1 winners at six-time champions Express FC with goals from Man of the match Joel Madondo and Boban Zirintusa while Frank Kalanda netted the Red Eagles consolation from the spot. The game also marked the return of David Bagole after the midfielder had controversially joined URA FC prior to FUFA’s ruling against the move.
In a more amazing style, Busoga United that earned their promotion in 2016 along with Onduparaka and Proline, scored their first top flight goal against Express in the 1-1 draw with Godfrey Mubiri scoring that historic goal.

The first goal came after eight matches. Much of the credit for Busoga United success is attributed to long serving Jinja SSS head teacher Diana Nyago who formed a merger with Kirinya FC to come up with Kirinya-Jinja SS FC.
The side that lost at play-offs twice against KJT and Jinja municipality council (JMC) Hippos in the 2014 and 2015 respectively also marked the 100th UPL game milestone under coach Abbey Bogere Kikomeko who also lead them to promotion.
In the 100 games played, Busoga United (Kirinya-Jinja SS) has 33 wins, 35 draws and 32 losses. They have scored 92 goals and conceded 93 with a total of 133 points collected.
