Like expected, Mbarara City have fired head coach Paul Nkata.
With only a win in charge, the lining was on the wall and the 3-0 humbling by BUL FC on Saturday was the last game in charge for Nkata as Mbarara City FC head coach.
The Ankole Lions were walloped 3-0 by BUL FC courtesy of Musa Esenu’s hat trick at Bugembe stadium -the first game BUL hosted at the facility.
Nkata was named Mbarara City coach in September, replacing Brian Ssenyondo who was serving on an interim basis.
He has managed seven games and only won once, losing four and two (goalless) draws against Bright Stars and URA.
Nkata’s only win came on his first game against Busoga at Luzira, a 2-1 thanks to Paul Mucureezi and Brian Ahebwa goals.
His assistants Baker Kasule and Hamza Kalanzi who was the goalkeepers coach have also been axed.
Nkata leaves Mbarara City a place above relegation with 10 points from 12 games played.
The club is expected to name his successor before their next game against Onduparaka nect Tuesday at home in Kakyeka stadium.
