Steven Mukwala is confident that he will make the final Uganda Cranes squad for the 2019 CECAFA Senior Challenge cup due December 7-19 in Kampala.
The Maroons forward, on loan from Vipers SC, is in fantastic scoring form -leading the scoring chats with 10 goals.
He believes that he has done enough to earn his place in the CECAFA team.
“Being a top scorer does not guarantee you a place. Of course you need to work hard and impress the coach. I am happy that I was given chance and looking forward to impress,” noted Mukwala, who is among the 30 players summoned by Jonathan McKinstry, has previously played for the national U20 and U23 sides.
The team started training on Wednesday at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
The team of 30 is expected to be trimmed to about 23.
Mukwala will compete with other forwards like Fahad Bayo, Ben Ocen, Viane Ssekajugo, Allan Kayiwa, Joel Madondo and Edirisa Lubega for a place on the final team.
