The 2019 Mr. Uganda Bodybuilding Championship is underway this Saturday at Sibyangu Standard Hotel in Natete. According to Joseph Nkoyoyo, the General Secretary of Uganda Bodybuilding and Fitness Association, fans should expect a competitive event. “This time, we expect over 70 participants to take part in the championship,” he said. This year ladies are to participate in the competition and many have already confirmed taking part. In men, Bin Yakubu Hassan has warned 2018 winner Mubikirwa Isaac that is ready to challenge him for this year’s championship title. “I am ready to compete with every bodybuilder including last year’s winner Mubikirwa Isaac. I had challenges last time and that is why I lost. However, I am in the best shape now and ready for the competition. The winner of the event will walk away with a trophy and a gold medal and will have an opportunity to do Gym work at Sibyangu Hotel for a full year.
Participants will lock horns in the following categories: Bantam Weight, Lightweight, Welterweight, Light middle, Middle weight and Light heavyweight.
