Malawi’s goals were by Isaac Kajamu (brace), Sandam Saidi, James Chikoka and Vanacio Malunga. Hosts Tanzania beat Burundi 6-3 to win the trophy for the third straight time.

Kibirige was named best goalkeeper of the tournament. Sand Cranes Head Coach Salim Jamal Muwonge said that the Copa Dar es Salaam is a good test for the Sand Cranes since it the only engagement for his boys this year and that the 2019 edition was vital as Uganda prepares to host AFCON Beach Soccer 2020.
