KCCA vs Mbarara City, Lugogo
Defending champions KCCA FC kick off the 2019/20 sTARtIMES Uganda premier league second round at home against Mbarara City FC this Wednesday at the Startimes Stadium, Lugogo in a live TV game at Sanyuka TV.
The visitors were 2-1 winners in the revere fixture at the Kakyeka stadium on the last match day of first round in November last year. The hosts have scored the most goals this term (32) and conceded 15 times in the 15 games and will be boosted by the return of teenage forwards Sadat Anaku and Sam Ssenyonjo from hamstring injury and fever respectively to face the Ankole Lions.
The visitors meanwhile start life without their influential player Paul Mucureezi who joined Vipers SC on a three-year deal after expiry of his contract at the Mbarara based side. The Ankole Lions will also have no goal keeper Ikara Tom who is loan from the Lugogo side while former midfielder Okwalinga Solomon returns to haunt former employers.
Peter Magambo is also back from a lengthy layoff while Poloto has stepped up with his match fitness after return from long injury.

Reigning Airtel-FUFA male player of the year Allan Okello (fever), Jurua Hassan (knee) are ruled out –joining long term absentees Sadam Juma and Jackson Nunda.
Keziron Kizito and Simon Serunkuma are other players ruled out after being slapped with a two-month club suspension over indiscipline. Head coach mike Mutebi told the press that the two midfielders have continuously snubbed training with no clear reasons.

KCCA FC has never won a game against Mbarara City in the five games played; losing once and drawing four in the process.
Mbarara City remains the only club in the top tier that KCCA FC has never beaten.
KCCA FC has scored twice in the five games played against Mbarara City FC –a fixture that has produced a total of five goals but only two coming at Lugogo.

Both teams have kept five clean sheets in the league this term; three have been at home and two have been away for both. KCCA FC has lost three times this season but none has come at home while the Ankole Lions has lost 6; twice at home and four away.
“We want to start the second round and the decade on the high and the only way we can do that is picking maximum points against Mbarara City FC. We face an enterprising side in Mbarara City FC and we expect them to give us a challenge. The fact is we want to win each and every game we play and try to defend the title,” noted Mutebi, who revealed no plans of making any new signings this January but rather promote a few youngsters to the senior side.
“I will keep handing the youngsters opportunity to play and showcase their ability. We were top of the scoring charts in the first round with 32 goals but i believe we can do better than that,” added, who missed the trip to Mbarara after he arrived late for the trip and found the team already set off.
