After rejecting StarTimes Uganda premier league side Onduparaka at the round of 64 with a shocking 1-0 home victory at Kabatangare grounds in Bugamba-Rwampara district, Bugamba FC was among several teams that anxiously waited for the Stanbic Uganda cup round of the 32 draws held last week at the FUFA House, Mengo.
The Western region league side outfit lies 6th in the 7-team Western regional league sub-group of Kigezi but Head coach Salim Twaha has a big dream in the Uganda’s oldest competition. “We are a small and poor team. We have nothing to show but determination. If they had given us a home draw, we should have been sure of pulling off yet another surprise because we have never lost at home,” said Salim whose side travels to North East to play Light SS in Soroti on Saturday.
The Round of 32 commences this Tuesday with three premier league sides in action. Wakiso Giants hosts MYDA in Wakiso, Proline takes on Admin FC at Lugogo while Tooro United visits Kansai Plascon in Mukono. There will be action throughout the week till Sunday as the premier league goes into a break.
