Former Stanbic Uganda Cup champions Express and URA will be in action this Wednesday at home in the 2019/20 competition’s round of 32.
Express who have won the title a joint record ten times host fellow premier league side Maroons at the Kavumba recreational grounds while three-time winners URA host former premier league side Nyamityobora at the Arena of Visions, Ndejje.
Express FC Coach Wasswa Bbosa wants to see his side go the furthest in the competition on top of seeing the Red Eagles at least attain a top eight finish in the StarTimes Uganda premier league.
“We want to go as far as we can and we also want to at least finish in the top eight at the league table,” noted Bbosa who started his reign with a crucial 1-0 away win at Onduparaka which was Express FC’s first ever victory at the Caterpillars.
The Red Eagles may host the remaining nine league fixtures at the Betway Muteesa II stadium, Wankulukuku if the venue gets FUFA licensing committee clearance this week. URA beat third division side Lugazi municipal 4-0 at the previous round while Express were 3-0 winners at another regional league side St Mary’s FC in Nabweru.
