FIFA U17 Women World Cup Qualifiers

Tanzania U17 2-1 Uganda U17

Sunday evening, this was to be a romp past the post for Ayubu Khalifa U17 coach side, Uganda national team 2-1, a breasting of tape and route to clear.

In the build-up the key questions had been when, how and to whom will the U17 Uganda National Women team lose a game.

Under the master himself, Ayubu Khalifa, Uganda U17 Women team had played Sixteen competitive games without testing a loss.

Tanzania U17 inflicted Uganda to a 2-1 loss away in Tanzania handing Khalifa the first of its kind.

Goal poacher Fauzia Najjemba put the visitors into an early lead just five minutes into the game.

Najjemba dribbled from the left flanka to shoot past Tanzania Goalkeeper.

Tanzania responded through Aisha Masaka to level two minutes to half an hour mark.

The first half of the game ended one up.

It was untill the last three minutes to the official full time minutes that Aisha Masaka scored to register a brace on her name and put Tanzania infront a head of the return leg.

Uganda will host the return leg in a two weeks time in Kampala and Ayubu Khalifa will only ne aiming for a 1-0 or any win with a difference of two goals to advance to next round.

The winner between Uganda U17 and Tanzania will meet the winner between Sao Tome and Principe and Cameroon.

The 2020 FIFA U17 Women World Cup will be hosted in India from Monday 2nd, to Saturday 21st, November and Africa will have three representatives.
